8 months in, 8 months to go…

8 months ago I moved back to the UK after living the dream in Sydney Australia for 3 years. Sydney had an amazing impact on me helping me to find my passion for the Yoga practice and living as I never had more freely than before. Being back in London these last 8 months has flown by and been quite an adjustment getting used to the busy city after living at the beach in the sunshine! I’m not going to lie… winter in particular has been tough! As a yoga teacher and student we try to become more connected with everything around us and more conscious of everything the good and bad! It’s all part of the practice to create your own environment, take ownership and shape yourself into the best version of yourself using the 5,000yr old teachings and the practice.Yoga Blog
There is a belief that as a teacher you have more discipline and routine than the average person to keep yourself in shape. Sadly, we are all human and with the shake-up in my life I didn’t notice the effects the small shifts in my routine were having as well my new office job as a studio manager at Yogaia as opposed to being on my feet all day! These little changes had started to stack up in the 8 months in London, and as I now have 8 months until my wedding day I thought it’s a good time to reflect and move things forward.

The Blog…

So as I start to settle into my new London Yoga teacher life, I thought I would start this yoga blog to diary away. This is my space (as well as partly my motivation) to keep reviewing, pondering, and to share with anyone reading this but also myself some insight and musings, from me a real person, a real yogi, yoga teacher, yoga student, and beautifully faulted human being. So this yoga blog is my self-study my Svadyaya, but hopefully it may also help people reading it feel a little more connected and help them with their own journey. We each have the control and the power to change our choices and take ownership of what’s going on in your life at any point! So here I will be sharing my experiences as a yoga teacher, as a yoga student, as a 30yr old Londoner, Yoga enthusiast, heading to marriage, real person, real ME!
